There’s a lot that goes into getting your at-home baby nursery ready for baby’s arrival.
From the crib to the diaper changing station and dresser… Where do you begin? Hmmm. Where do you go to for your inspo? Pinterest? Instagram? Baby focused magazines like —-? We’d love to see your mood board linked in the comments!
We love when we see nurseries that pursue a theme- it could be focused on a certain animal or character or name. Some opt to make the initials a focal point. (Click on photos to be taken to Pinterest links ;) Enjoy!)
Considering Accents
Are you more into all the walls painted one color or having an accent wall? Will you want a special mural? Have you considered wallpaper options?
Color Choices Galor
Check out these absolutely adorable nurseries. We love how diverse these mamas and daddies went. What a range! Some are following guidelines of color psychology while others… not so much! The Spruce suggests that the right color can be determined through color psychology. It is too true that colors can influence mood and behavior. Did you happen to know that particular colors can improve sleep habits while also increasing memory power? Not to mention, some of the certain parts of the color wheel even enhance academic performance.
The lighter tones of pink (soft pink if you will) can be both girly AND sophisticated.
Sage green is a hot go-to right now offering calm, cool, and collected vibes.
Different shades of blue alone or mixed throughout the room keep things gender focused. Add in navy for the nautical vibes.
Black and white theme is a great way to bring a gender-neutral nursery to life. What are your thoughts on Mallory's room reveal below? Btw, she used Sherwin Williams - Snowbound as her wall color of choice on the walls!
We absolutely love what Liz Marie did with her baby boy's room. Simply adorable to keep things light and airy. The golden metal crib brings the whole neutral cream palette together so very well.
Architecture Art Designs states that the crib's linens can AND SHOULD match the decor and be one of the highlights of the environment.
Studio McGee went with Benjamin Moore's “Just Beige” for the ceiling and some of their favorite patterned wallpaper from McGee & Co.’s new kid’s collection. They chose neutral and feminine elements for the backdrop to layer other patterns.
